Kirk Northouse joined HT Engineering in 2018, bringing with him extensive expertise in industrial automation, controls, and instrumentation systems for oil and gas and related industries.

Kirk’s addition to the team allowed HT Engineering to expand our service offerings and meet a wider range of needs for the facilities owners we serve. As an electrical controls and instrumentation engineer, Kirk helps owners advance and achieve their automation goals. He is experienced with virtually all types of electrical, automation, and process control hardware and software and can help owners manage and troubleshoot existing equipment or design new solutions. Kirk’s work has spanned many types of pipeline facilities including refineries, terminals, pumping stations, and meter stations. Beyond designing, implementing, and servicing machine and process controls and software, Kirk has over 30 years experience using Modbus and other communication standards and is skilled in developing communication interfaces and working with plant equipment condition monitoring systems. Before moving into automation engineering, Kirk spent more than a decade as a machine operator and maintenance technician, gaining first-hand knowledge of automated equipment through extensive installation, alignment, commissioning, and troubleshooting work.
